Mongolia 2007
The Oxford University Expedition to Mongolia 2007 investigated the distribution of political information in remote areas and how this relates to democratic participation among Mongolian citizens. By establishing whether participatory democracy in Mongolia is truly national in scope, effectively involving the 50% of the population that lives more traditional ways of life in rural areas, we hope to contribute to the understanding of its remarkably successful Soviet democratic transition by experts in political science and development studies.
An interim report is now available and the final report for the Oxford University Expedition to Mongolia 2007, including full analysis will be available from early 2008. The video interviews will be also presented as a documentary, due for completion in 2008.
